2 Diver Basket Launch & Recovery System (LARS)
Designed to safely deploy/ recover divers with equipment over-the-side from the dive control location (Dive Support Vessel (DSV), fixed installation, Jack-Up Barge (JUB) to the subsea dive site, down to a maximum working depth of 50m.
The LAR system typically consists of an A-frame complete with base. Including the HYDRA 650/0.65 series offshore man rider winch is based on the 1300 series frames and drums capacity. Furthermore two hydraulic power packs situated on the A-frame skid directly beneaththe winch and control station.
A diving 1.2 1.2m diving cage with overhead protection frame fitted with 1 x 50 litre 200 bar cylinder. A cylinder is included as part of the cage with 1st stage, 2 x DV’s, and 2 x ¼ inch pneumo hose for emergency use.

HYDRA 1000/1.0 OFFSHORE MAN RIDER SERIES WINCH
The HYDRA 1000/1.0 series offshore man rider winch is based on the 1300 series frames and drums capacity. The winch specifications are as follows:
- Minimum lift capability: Hydraulically set to 1,0 Ton (1000 kg)
- Maximum lifting speed: operator controllable up to 18m per minute
- Wire diameter: 13mm non-spin
- Wire length: 80m
- Drive system: Direct hydraulic
Braking
- Shaft mounted non rotating multi disc internal motor brake.
- Hydraulic over-centre valve
- Automatic hydraulic band brake
- 1.2 x 1.2 meter Diving cage with overhead protection frame.

HYDRA 650/0.65 OFFSHORE MAN RIDER SERIES WINCH
The HYDRA 650/0.65 series offshore man rider winch is based on the 1300 series frames and drums capacity. The winch specifications are as follows:
- Minimum lift capability: Hydraulically set to 0.65 Ton (650 kg)
- Maximum lifting speed: operator controllable up to 36m per minute
- Wire diameter: 10mm non-spin
- Wire length: 160m
- Drive system: Direct hydraulic
Braking:

The hydraulic power pack is situated on the A-frame skid directly beneaththe winch and control station. The power pack consists of the following:
Main fixed displacement gear pump and motor rated as follows:
- 11kW power or as determined
- 24 l/min at 210 bar (flow at 440V/60Hz) 380/440V 50/60Hz
Secondary fixed displacement gear pump and motor rated as follows:
- 9.2kW power output or as determined
- 19 l/min at 210 bar (flow at 440V/60Hz) 380/440V 50/60hz
1 x 150 litre main hydraulic oil tank and 1 x 100 litre standby hydraulic oil tank

The control station has the following controls:

- Main wire winch in and out
- Guide wire winch in and out
Two stainless steel electrical control boxes (1 main and 1 emergency) are supplied for operating the system hydraulics.
- Testing conforms with the latest guidelines laid out in D018 Code of Practice for the Initial and Periodic Examination, Testing and Certification of Diving Plant and Equipment
- Follows requirements stated in D023 DESIGN for Surface Oriented (Air) Diving Systems
